Unsure which juicer is right for you? Vitality 4 Life, the original cold press juicer company, can help you to select the perfect juicer for your needs and lifestyle. Avoid the overwhelm and confusion, and let us make the choice simple & easy.
Which juicer should I buy? This is by far our most asked question at Vitality 4 Life, and for good reason! With such an array of cold press juicers available in the market, it can be hard to know which type or brand is best for you. Your needs can depend upon dietary, health, usability and/or functionality requirements.
The first thing to do when looking for a juicer is to ask yourself a few simple questions:
- Do you see yourself as a beginner (new to juicing), a health enthusiast (knowledgeable about the benefits of different types of fruits/vegetables) or a patient (looking to overcome an illness naturally)?
Beetroot Juice - good for the heart and your health
Thanks to Heart Week we are becoming more aware of our hearts and what we can do to protect them. I am not sure if beetroot juice will protect your heart from being broken, however, this delicious, luscious red vegetable can play an important role in keeping your heart healthy.
A natural way to lower blood pressure
Studies have shown that "that a daily glass of beetroot juice can lower blood pressure in people with hypertension - even those whose high blood pressure was not controlled by drug treatment." Dr. Shannon Amoils, British Heart Foundation, senior research advisor
In a nutshell YES. People are becoming more and more discerning about what they eat and how they can get the best nutrient filled drink or meal for their healthy body buck. The high powered blender and cold press juicer offer different ways for the body to ingest healthy nutrients, enzymes and just plain deliciousness. Put simply the blender will retain the fibre and the juicer will give you a quicker nutrient blast that can be absorbed more easily. Both a juicer and a blender are important for different reasons but together they are unstoppable.
What does my cold press juicer do?

What is Living Juice?
The concept of living juice was first introduced by Dr. Norman Walker (1886-1985) who invented the original cold press juicer in 1934 known as the Norwalk. Dr Walker discovered that enzymes and nutrients in fruit and vegetables perish at temperatures which exceed 50 degrees Celsius.
Tests performed claim that non-centrifugal juicers produce juice that lasts longer and contains more nutrients. These tests showed that the juice from cold press juicers contains more nutrients; and in fact the Hippocrates juicer by Greenpower contains well over double the beta-carotene and alpha-carotene than the juice from every other juicer in their test… and it lasted longer.

Buying a 'slow' or 'living juicer' can be a challenging decision because there are so many to choose from. Before making a purchase it is important to understand whether you will benefit most from a horizontal or vertical living juice extractor.
The BioChef Juicers range has been developed to offer customers the choice between either horizontal or vertical juicers because we understand that every lifestyle is different. Whether you are time poor, or a juicing enthusiast we have the best juicer for you to choose from.
Horizontal slow juicers such as the BioChef Axis Living Juicer / Processor are exceptional for juicing leafy greens and wheatgrass and being utilised as a complete living food processing appliance. Vertical juicers like the BioChef Atlas Living Juicer are outstanding for juicing soft fruits and vegetables, are great nut milk makers and have a very small kitchen bench footprint.
While the BioChef Juicers are similarly priced there are also a few things
A new type of juicer has arrived which is commonly called a vertical cold pressing or 'slow' juicer.
They sit in the same category as other juicers that produce a juice which is still full of essential enzymes, nutrients and vitamins (The Hippocrates Twin Gear, Oscar Neo 1000, Oscar Vital Max and the Hurom models (700, 500 and 400)).
These slow juicers differ from the Hippocrates and Oscar models in that they:
- are primarily fruit and vegetable juicers
- have a larger feeding chute
- make remarkable alternative milk drinks (such as nut or soy milks)
- are the fastest producers of juice even though they still operate
The BioChef Juicer is perfect for beginners and those just getting started with Cold Press Juicing. Not only is the initial cost of the BioChef significantly less, the costs saved on produce, efficiency and, of course health benefits, means the BioChef Juicer will pay for itself very quickly.
