After I had my first baby it was super tricky getting back into exercise. In fact, I couldn’t walk properly for three months, had abdominal separation and back pain.
I wanted to walk, but even going up the driveway was hard for so long!
Not only that, but the time I used to have for exercise was reduced by at least half or more. Realistically, getting in 10 minutes was a huge achievement of just some light bodyweight exercises.
Then it dawned on m

Most professionals agree that there are many health benefits with regular infrared sauna use. From muscle relief to heart health, from stress relief to looking feeling younger using an infrared sauna regularly can improve our quality of life. These days, however, as we are surrounded by many man made products that produce electromagnetic fields (EMF) we may need to think about lowering our exposure. Using a low EMF Infrared sauna can help keep our exposure to a minimum.
What is EMF?
EMF stands for electromagnetic force (or electromotive force). EMF is found in the natural world by sources such as the local build-up of electric charge in the atmosphere
Where did Pilates all begin?
Joseph Hubertus Pilates was born in Germany in 1883. As a child, Joe suffered many ailments including asthma so he turned to exercise and athletics to help. He studied various exercise routines and was transfixed with the idea of the classical Greek ideal of man with a balanced mind, body and spirit. Hence Pilates was born.
In 1912 Joe went to the U.K working as a defense instructor at Scotland Yard but at the outbreak of World War I he was interned as an “enemy alien”. Rather than wallow he refined his ideas by training other internees by rigging springs to hospital beds to enable patients to
According to Diabetes Australia many of us are unaware that we have diabetes or are heading in that direction.
A recent study at Austin Health, a major tertiary health service in Melbourne’s north-east, found that 34% of patients in our hospitals had diabetes. Surprisingly, 5% of these people had silent, undiagnosed type 2 diabetes that was only detected after they were admitted to hospital. An estimated 500,000 of us are living with silent, undiagnosed diabetes at great risk to our health.
Diabetes Australia's research has shown a worrying level of community antipathy toward type 2 diabetes even though 2 million of us are at high risk. Apparently
If any vegetable deserves it’s own day, it's the carrot. The original superstar of the juicing world with its impressive powers has every right to be recognised. The humble carrot packs an impressive, colourful punch and has many health benefits. Carrot juice is the perfect natural weight loss drink too.

Imagine being allowed to eat whatever you want to without feeling guilty. Well, guess what? You ARE allowed to and you always have been. When we were babies most of us were fed when we showed signs of being hungry and usually pretty quickly before we started screaming. Intuitive eating or mindful eating is just that, feeding on demand… for adults.
Over the years we have been programmed to believe that foods are either good or bad. If we eat the ‘bad’ foods we have then ‘failed’ and need to be punished. We punish ourselves by getting rid of the ‘bad food' and pursue eating
Instagram is turning green for the latest superfood - celery juice.
Anthony William the Medical Medium is the man behind the celery juice craze. He claims that we should drink 16oz (500ml) of plain celery juice every morning to radically transform our health and digestion and all in a single week! Anthony is not a doctor, a nutritionist or a researcher. What he does do is converse with the 'spirit of compassion' for information on how to cure diseases. In particular those that baffle the medical profession. Each to their own of course but does it work?
