1 in 9 Australians have asthma – around 2.7 million and many more with allergies. Asthma and allergy sufferers are constantly in discomfort caused by dust and pet hair and are now looking to water filtration vacuums to rid their homes of allergens. Let's compare the Sirena Vacuum Cleaner to the Rainbow and see which is the best.
Why Choose A Water Filtration Vacuum?
Water filtration systems like the Sirena Vacuum Cleaner and Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner succeed where traditional vacuum cleansers fail.
Instead of relying on dust bags to collect dirt, water filtration vacuums force the vacuumed air into a water reservoir, which keeps the dirt trapped within the water and thus prevents it from being blown back into the air.
This is of critical importance for allergy sufferers who are looking for a hypoallergenic vacuum that can eradicate dust mites and allergens from the home, instead of sucking it in and blowing it back out.
This blog aims to compare the two popular models of bagless water filtration vacuums on the market: the Sirena vs Rainbow E2 Black Model.
Let’s take a closer look at the two water-based vacuum cleaners.
The Sirena vs Rainbow E2 Black
The Sirena Vacuum Cleaner is a Canadian designed and engineered total home cleaning system.
It uses water-based filtration technology that won’t clog as you vacuum. This means you’ll have 100% uncompromised airflow ensuring a deep and thorough clean. The power of this system will allow you to clean your entire home without the need for nasty chemicals. This includes hard surfaces, carpets, rugs and upholstery.
The Sirena system also comes with multiple attachment heads and nozzles designed to clean different surfaces in your home.
Both the Sirena and the Rainbow utilize HEPA filtration to purify the air.

There are many different types of water filtration available to consumers nowadays which raises the question, how do you know which water is right for you?
Below is a brief description on each type of filtration we offer, to help make this complex decision a little easier for you...
'Standard' Water Filters come in two types; pitchers & carafe-style filters and carbon block & granular carbon filters. In recent years, pitchers & carafe-style filters have emerged as lowcost alternatives to tap water and bottled water and although they do offer a slightly improved alternative to tap water, they have very limited effectiveness and a low capacity.
Carbon Block and Granular Carbon Filters are the most common styles of countertop and under-the-sink systems (point of use). Granular carbon filters and carbon block systems use the same process of contaminant removal, adsorption, by which the contaminant bonds chemically or physically to the surface of the filter medium. Activated carbon is recognized by the U.S. EPA as the best available technology for filtering VOCs and THMs. For best performance it is essential that a multi stage process be used to filter out a wide range of contaminants.
The Aquasana System differs in that it is a multi-media block filter; the Aquasana utilizes the benefits of activated carbon with several added advantages. A blended media is extruded or compressed into a solid form with a sub-micron pore structure to filter out sediment and cysts like Cryptosporidium and Giardia. This configuration also prevents water from channeling around the filter media. The ion exchange removes things like lead that carbon will not remove. It is an additional stage that provides higher quality water, and also enhances pH by adding potassium ions to the water. In addition to being a carbon and ion-exchange filter, it is also a mechanical filter down to .5 microns.
Aquasana water filters are required to document the purity of the water they produce. This strict regulation allows consumers to accurately compare the performance.
The most stringent tests have been performed on the Aquasana products in California, USA. California has the strictest requirements in the States, with manufacturers required to have all promotional, advertising, websites and packaging materials reviewed by the Department Of Health for accuracy prior to certification.
The California Certification is one of the best ways to determine a product's performance capabilities.
