Bilt Universal Resin Water Softener

The Bilt Universal Resin Water Softener is an innovative descaling device for home coffee machines. By passively removing calcium, magnesium, iron and impurities from water through the use of ion exchange resins at a neutral pH, water is softened to prevent scale build-up.

Optimal use of Bilt Universal Resin Water Softener requires the following simple steps:
1. Remove Bilt Resin Water Softener from its transparent protective blue wrapper
2. Once the plastic has been removed, wet the transparent off-white coloured pouch with cold water to activate the silvered granules inside
3. Lay down the Bilt Resin Water Softener pouch in empty water tank. Fill with water up to the desired level.

As water interacts with the resin microspheres it will be subjected to the osmotic and magnetic softening process, starting to transfer calcium and magnesium ions giving back sodium ones.

It is recommended to leave a generous quantity of water in the water tank to allow the Bilt Universal Resin Water Softener the right amount of time to act and work effectively. It is a passive system and needs some time to neutralize all ions but the particular blend of resins guarantees a water hardness reduction in a very short time. Once introduced, the resin pouch should not be removed until its life end or its natural expiring time.

NOTE: The transparent pouch containing the resins must not be opened. If resins come out and enter the coffee machine water circuit, they obstruct the machine pipes.
