Motor:
Both the BioChef Axis Compact and the BioChef Axis Cold Press Juicer have 150w motors and run at 80RPM, however the difference between these two machines is motor type. The BioChef Axis Juicer has a D.C. motor, meaning it is not as ‘heavy duty’ as the BioChef Axis’ A.C. motor.

A D.C. motor has been used in the BioChef Axis Compact juicer to keep the size, weight and price of the juicer down; making it the perfect cold press juicer for those just starting out in ‘cold press juicing world’, for travelers, staff rooms, university dorm rooms, and smaller sized kitchens.

Food Processing Abilities:
One of the unique benefits of the BioChef Axis Cold Press Juicer is that it can juice a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and then quickly turn itself into a food processing machine by the simple switch of the juicing screen to a blank screen. This allows the food to be crushed by the auger and puree the ingredients to make natural and preservative-free nut butters, baby food, dips, purees, bliss balls, pasta, fruit sorbets, ice cream, sauces and more!

In comparison, the BioChef Axis Compact juicer does not come with this food processing function. It has been designed for those wanting to prepare cold press juices, only.
